Brookline Greena+sl studios was brought in to design this renovation and addition that spans nearly half of the total perimeter of the house. Key to unifying the new structure with the existing was the implementation of contemporary European-style elements. More than 300 yards of glacial till was excavated to make room for the additional living space. An open-loop Geothermal Well was installed to provide subterranean regulated water at temperatures between 50-55 degrees and to provide cooling in the summer & heating in the winter. And to top it off, green roofs were installed in two locations! photos by Greg Premru |
